No Star's sole purpose is to make the world a happier place. We started the SMILE campaign in April of 2005. It began with print ads in several nationally distributed magazines and about 200,000 bright blue smile stickers distributed across all 50 states. The idea being: make your environment a brighter, friendlier, arms-open-wider sort of place to hang your hat. We have no logo on the sticker face, no name, no contact information. One needn't be familiar with our brand, or even like our shirts to get behind this campaign*. We encourage people to stick these stickers on their bikes, their cars, on street signs, and phone booths. Anywhere and everywhere. The thing is, it works. Coming across one of these stickers, on even the darkest day, will undoubtedly make it a little brighter. When someone spots one of our stickers it's like...'smile', "What does that mean?" "About what?" "Am I now?" "Should I?" "Is someone watching?" It feels pretty good. If you think hard enough, you will realize you always have something to smile about. Honest. *You needn't like our shirts, but if you smile much, you probably will. |
